Grilled Watermelon

Vegan!

Ingredients
1 4 pound Watermelon (preferably seedless)
3 tablespoons Granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
OPTIONAL TOPPINGS:
Lime zest
And/or chili powder
And/or other seasonings of choice

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Trim 1/2 an inch from both ends of the watermelon. Stand up watermelon on 1 cut end; cut lengthwise into quarters. Cut each quarter into 1-inch slices. Evenly sprinkle sugar and salt onto both sides of each slice.
  2. Prepare a gas grill and preheat it to high (450 to 500 degrees). Put the slices onto the grill grates and grill uncovered for 3 minutes on each side.
  3. Serve with desired toppings.
