Source: Passed down through generations (Entered by Sandra Walker)
Serves: 16 cups of kombucha

Ingredients
1 gal water
8 Tea Bags (preferably organic black tea)
1 cup White Sugar (preferably organic)
1 cup live Kombucha starter tea
1 live SCOBY
1 or 2 large glass containers (enough to hold at least 1 gallon of liquid)

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Brew 1 gallon of sweet tea using all 8 tea bags and 1 cup of sugar. Let cool to room temperature then transfer to glass container(s).
  2. Add your starter tea and SCOBY. Cover loosly with cloth or paper towel to keep out bugs yet allow it to breathe. Let sit, undisturbed, at room temperature for 7-14 days until desired flavor is reached.
  3. Strain out scoby. Add fruit or other flavors. Enjoy :) *Remember to reserve 1 cup of unflavored kombucha to start your next batch.
