The Wednesday Market:  Welcome Fall! The Wednesday Market is Open!

Good afternoon.

The Wednesday Market is open for orders. Please place your order by 10 p.m. Monday. Orders are ready for pick up between 2 and 4 p.m. Wednesday. See the website for this week’s product offerings. Here is the link: https://wednesdaymarket.locallygrown.net/market

The official start of Fall is Thursday, Sept. 22, when the Autumnal Equinox occurs at 9:04 p.m. EDT. We are enjoying splendid weather lately, with cool mornings and mild afternoons, complemented with refreshing breezes. Ah, don’t we wish this weather would last? Alas, 90-degree temperatures will be back by mid-week, so don’t put away all your summer clothes just yet.

Thank you for supporting Georgia Grown. Have a great Sunday, and we’ll see you at the Market.

Thanks,

Beverly

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse: Several perennials to plant right now and brighten up your workspace or home with a beautiful Succulent Planter it is beautiful as a centerpiece or side table decoration, this planter contains a variety of seven succulent plants in a light sandy soilless mix that should support them well for a long time to come. Remember: don’t water succulents much – they’re a great houseplant for those who don’t like to fuss with houseplants! Soil surface of your planter is covered with small pebbles both as a decorative feature and to help hold moisture for the plants. This planter will also be a good hostess or housewarming gift.

Linwood Lamb: Let me first say thank you for your lamb purchases over the past few months. Linwood Sheep Farm has been around for 5 generations, starting back in the 1940’s in the Linwood Community of Watertown. This past year we ventured into direct marketing our lamb to consumers. We have been overwhelmed at the positive response we have received by providing locally grown lamb to you.

We have been coming to the Stones River Market every week for several months. Sometimes we bring 4 to 5 orders, other weeks just 1 order. My questions is: Would it disrupt the way you shop if we continued with the market but only came every other week? Obviously, this would save us transportation dollars by doubling up the orders and just traveling twice a month to Murfreesboro as opposed to every week. The last thing we want is to create a burden for any of our customers.

Order this week and we will return in 2 weeks.
Mark Powell – Shepherd (Dad)
Anna Powell – Shepherdess (Daughter)

Thank you for choosing Northeast Georgia Locally Grown as a way to support your local producers. This online farmers market allows you to buy directly from multiple farms committed to chemical-free and local produce all year long! CHEMICAL-FREE means produce and pastures grown without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides. LOCAL means within 80 miles from the market pickup locations (usually much much closer). Do you know someone who grows chemical-free food in the area? Get them in touch with us. Know someone who wants fresh food? Spread the word. Put the two together, and that’s growing organically!

PICKUP TIME is Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m.

If you do not get an email ORDER CONFIRMATION right after you order then your order is NOT complete. Log back in and your order might still be there waiting for you to check out! If you have any trouble or questions at all, we are here to help; simply reply to this email.

COVID19: Thanks for recognizing we can all do our part in operating in the safest way possible. Be on the lookout for the order reminder email with any changes to pickup or ways you can help minimize risk for our volunteers and each other. Thanks for your support!*
