Linwood Lamb:
Try our lamb steaks this week. These are large cuts weighting 1-1 ½ pounds per package. There are 2
steaks per package. As a family we like to lightly salt and peppered the steaks and put them on a hot
grill for 4 to 5 minutes per side. We enjoy them at 135-140 0 F internal temperature (medium rare to
medium). They are a family favorite, and we think you will enjoy them too!
If you need some other recipe ideas, The American Lamb board has a savory herb butter lamb steak
recipe using rosemary, thyme, garlic, and lemon juice. Visit their website for more information:

Pinky’s Micros:
This week we have these delicious Microgreens and Sprouts available.

Basic Salad Mix: this is our basic salad mix that packs flavor with colorful combination of five different organic microgreens. In this mix we have Broccoli Kale Kohlrabi Arugula Red Cabbage.
Broccoli: makes an excellent microgreen!! It has a deliciously mild, fresh broccoli or cabbage flavor and makes a great garnish and addition to any microgreens salad or substitute your sandwich greens for them. Microgreen Color: thin white stem with shades of green on top Microgreen Flavor: fresh, mild broccoli or cabbage flavor Microgreen Texture: soft Nutrients: Vitamins A and C, calcium, iron, and phosphorus
Pea shoots: are sweet and delicious and fairly straight and leafy. They make a great garnish or addition to any salad for that added crunch. Sow’s Ear Piggery: has added a new product this week: Petite Loin Roast. At 1.5 pounds, these petite roasts offer the upscale elegance of a neatly trimmed whole loin in a portion for a smaller table setting. This lean cut will benefit from a single overnight brine (1/4 cup salt and 1/4 cup sugar dissolved in one quart of water) to help retain moisture while roasting. Also available: Ribs, Bratwursts, Kielbasa, Italian Sausage, Ground Pork, Breakfast Sausage, Chops, Cutlets, Stew Meat and Larger Roasts, all from Non-GMO, No Corn, No Soy, Free-range pigs.

Rainbow Hill Farm:
Yellow Delicious: Very sweet to the taste. It is a favorite for salads, apple sauce, and apple butter.
Gala Apples: They are sweet, fine textured, and aromatic, can be added to salads, cooked, or eaten raw, and are especially suitable for creating sauces.

Thank you for choosing Northeast Georgia Locally Grown as a way to support your local producers. This online farmers market allows you to buy directly from multiple farms committed to chemical-free and local produce all year long! CHEMICAL-FREE means produce and pastures grown without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides. LOCAL means within 80 miles from the market pickup locations (usually much much closer). Do you know someone who grows chemical-free food in the area? Get them in touch with us. Know someone who wants fresh food? Spread the word. Put the two together, and that’s growing organically!

PICKUP TIME is Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m.

If you do not get an email ORDER CONFIRMATION right after you order then your order is NOT complete. Log back in and your order might still be there waiting for you to check out! If you have any trouble or questions at all, we are here to help; simply reply to this email.

COVID19: Thanks for recognizing we can all do our part in operating in the safest way possible. Be on the lookout for the order reminder email with any changes to pickup or ways you can help minimize risk for our volunteers and each other. Thanks for your support!*
